John : Take a look. https://wodewangzhishime.blogspot.com/2022/02/httpswodewangzhishime_62.html?m=1 . It's an architecture of which there's no difference between parallel and serial input.
Me: Indeed, there's no more parallel Input line and no more serial input line. There's only a line called input line left.
John : Look at the above 2 pictures. They are case 1 and 2.
.
1) In case 1, b1 is the bit being input. If (0.1.0.1) gotta be input, there's no delayed circuit. Then, 4 bits enter b1 together. 4 bits right shift together.
2) In case 2, 0 individually enter b1, 1 individually enter b2, 0 individually enter b3, 1 individually enter b4.
.
Me: Ok.
.
John: Of Case 1 and case 2, which case can result in faster operation.
.
Me: Both case results in same speed.
.
John : As a result, the tendency is no more parallel and serial input line. The tendency is that there's only a line called input line.
